Mechanical God Creation was born in October 2006. The first two members who got in contact, thanks to a forum, were Lucy (former singer of the band Art of Mutilation consisting of two members of Hecate Enthroned) and Simo (guitar / vocals). They were both trying to create a great metal band, therefore they started to search other musicians to complete the line-up. Simo contacted the drummer Jambra, then Runza joined the band as second guitarist and they completed the line-up with the bass player Andrea.
After an initial period of time in which the first songs were written, the band entered the Larsen Forge Studios in Milan in March 2007 to record its first demo entitled “… And the Battle becomes War” containing an instrumental intro and three tracks. The demo was released in May 2007 and it was very positively welcomed and reviewed by Italian ad European magazines and webzines.
In June 2007, the band was selected to play on the second stage of Gods of Metal, where it was able to play its music in front of a vast number of people, playing with sacred monsters like Ozzy Osbourne, Korn and Megadeth.
In 2008 the band experienced for the first time playing live abroad: Austria and Slovenia (Metalcamp Festival in Tolmin) having the huge honor and opportunity to play with bands like Meshuggah, Iced Earth, Behemoth…
In July 2008 the band started planning the recording of its first full length album and signed a management contract with Carlo Bellotti. The recordings took place the following November at the West Link Studios in Pisa where the band recorded the bass and drums’ tracks, then it moved to Como to finish the recordings and to mix the vocals and the guitars’ tracks at Alphaomega studios with the help of an expert, Alex “Mudhead” Azzali.
The mastering was done at Finnvox Studio in Finland. The album Cell XII took its definitive form in autumn 2009: nine tracks of pure aggressiveness. During those months Jambra, Runza and Simo decided to leave the project Mgc and the band started to search new members.
After a while Ale (guitar), Manuel (drums) and Davide (guitar) joined the band and MGC was ready to play live again more combative then ever.
The band recorded its second album “Artifact of Annihilation” at Math Lab and at AlphaOmega Studio, the album was mixed and mastered in Canada, at Garage Studio by Chris Donaldson (Criptopsy). The album will be out in autumn 2012.
Concerning the members of the band, at a certain point the drummer Manuel and the guitar player Davide preferred to leave the band because of personal problems. Mgc respected their decision and started to search another drummer and another guitarist.
Mgc has just found two really smart and capable musicians and it is proud to introduce them as new Mechanical God Creation’s members: these guys are the drummer Michy and the second guitarist Salva, so now the new line-up consists of Lucy (vocals), Veon (bass and additional vocals), Michy (drums), Ale (guitar) and Salva (second guitar).
