My Hidden Phobia was born in 2008, when a group of friends, living in a forgotten-by-God-town lost in the north of Italy, decided to give life to a new band, leaving behind some sinking projects to reach new horizons, and fusing their musical influences to get a sharp but at the same time melodic sound. After some changes in the original lineup, MHP registered a four-tracks Ep while an intense period of live activity took them on-stage in several locals in the north of Italy. At the end of the year, one of the members has been replaced with a new guitarist ; the band decided to spend some time writing new songs. The lyrics darkened, becoming more evocative, guiding the listener into deep, gloomy nightmares; the sound became heavier, keeping MHP’s trademarks: explosive, moshing breakdowns marked with raging screaming vocals, marching towards melodic parts with clean vocals.
from the new stuff composed in that period,the band chose 12 songs and they moved into “westlink studio” to record their debut album that will be available in late 2011
