Description

The Hero Clone

Hailing from the alternative/metal scene in London UK, progressive metal four piece Sleeper Effect came to life when lead singer Adam broke his leg on the set of a zombie film. Laid up at home with a leg cast Adam picked up the guitar and started writing riffs that would become Sleeper Effects first songs. Enlisting old friend Tim Fry on drums, legendry axe man Jason Murray and fellow circuit man Julian Gregory on bass the lineup was complete in 2009.
After many lengthy battles with noise they managed to slay the beast and churn out some memorable performances and decided that this was what they wanted and needed to do. After some personal tragedies and a difficult period outside of music the rehearsal studio became the therapy room where the guys could bring their problems and work them out through the music. In November 2011 they let loose their two forceful singles Hero Clone and Fortress, recorded and produced by Bassists Julian.  Followed by solid gigs and shows up and down the UK, Sleeper Effect have grown into a strong contender to add to the British pool of talent. With 2013 releases of Bullets, Clown and A City Burns, Sleeper Effect have grafted hard to bring their heavy-duty shotgun guitar licks, ballistic bodyguard back-line and on-the-edge vocals to the live stage. Where it rightfully belongs. The band continue to grow and hone their skills as songwriters as well as exploring their different musical tastes, sharing and pushing each other to the next level.
